Ayden is One Today!

Ayden turns one today! I can't believe a year has gone by. I have realized that all the cliche's about time flying when you have a baby are all true. This year has flown by and at the same time I have a hard time remembering life before Ayden filled it with such meaning and purpose. Ayden's unique personality is emerging and I think the best words to describe him are joyful, alert, easy going, and determined. I have written down some of my thoughts and favorite things that will stand out in my mind about Ayden over the past year.

Ayden Keith

Wide eyed stare
Mommy's red hair

Dimpled Chin
Daddy's perfect grin

Infections Laugh
Love affair with his bath

High chair drama
First words of "mama"

Fear of loud sounds
Making silly noises to get attention in crowds

Relaxing outside in his car and swing
Turning his head back and forth so he never misses a thing

Finding fun in remotes and momma's cell phone
Excited smiles and waves when "dada" comes home

Using only his thumb to touch all his toys
30 minute naps for our boy

Squinting and crying in the sun
Holding his breath and hyperventilating for fun

Always crossing his feet
Laughing every time we drink or eat

Shaking his head no
Astonishing us with how much he already knows

Learning to roll, sit, crawl, and stand
Never forgetting to smile big for all his fans
